Compliance Monitoring Conducted During Applicant Interviews
On August 31, 2026, at a meeting of the Pedagogical Council of Taldykorgan College of Service and Technology, Anti-Corruption Compliance Officer Yelzhas Kengesbay delivered a presentation entitled “Ensuring Transparency in the Educational Process: Professional Accountability, Academic Integrity and Prevention of Corruption Risks.”
The presentation outlined the key priorities of the Compliance Service for the 2026–2027 academic year. Particular attention was given to transparency in employee remuneration, fair and transparent distribution of teaching workloads, proper performance of professional duties, and adherence to the principles of academic integrity.
The presentation also addressed the need to avoid unnecessary duplication of paper-based reporting when the relevant information is already available in electronic systems, as well as the protection of students’ rights, psychological safety, and strengthening of preventive measures.
Special emphasis was placed on timely responses to complaints from students, parents and applicants regarding possible violations of their rights and on informing the Compliance Officer when potential compliance risks are identified.
In the 2026–2027 academic year, the Compliance Service will focus primarily not on responding after violations have occurred, but on identifying corruption and other risks at an early stage, eliminating their causes and preventing violations.
